Bajolese Choir

Directed by Amerigo Vigliermo, was born in 1966 and devotes itself to the research and the collection of oral tradition in Canavese, an area in north east of Turin. In 1975 the Choir built the Canavesano Ethnologic Centre and now, thanks to a long and systematic research on field, has many songs in its repertoire, learned directly from the people. Its main mission is to let its community take awareness about its own cultural identity, which is an unique and important value.
